Is it far from Bird Park (Jurong) to Night Safari (Mandai)?

Dear all,

Please tell me how can I go from from Bird Park (Jurong) to Night Safari (Mandai). can I use MRT to go to bird park from Orchard station. If not, which bus number, station should I go?
I have a plan to vist both of these places in a day, so I would like to know which transportation mean can I use to move between them, how long does it take?

4.45pm >> Bird-Park >> pick up point at at Outside Coach Stand after exit !
Fare as S$ 4.oo aduli / S$ 2,00 child.
take about one hours . reach night safari about 5.50PM.
*** Enjoy some nice foods before Safari open at 730PM.
all Foods & Beverages open at 6.00 PM !!!!
so plant to left Bird park around 4.20 PM . reach pick up point before 4.35 pm.
ticket sold on board . no advance booking. there must be few seats available .

From Newton to Bird park.
take MRT for Newton Station. all the way to BOON LAY station. about 40 min.
change to bus service at the INT. just 4 min walk after exit of train station.
take services 251 / or 194 just about 12 min reach bird park.
ask the driver for help./ he will info your where to alight.
