Singapore Tourist Attraction?

What are singapore tourist attraction beside Malls, Historical sites, Sentosa Island, Jurong Bird Park or Zoo...?
I'm looking for something else. Is Singapore Science Park (the on left side of AYE-Tuas) is a tourist attaraction...? how can I get there by bus or MRT..?

Answer :
1) We have the Omni Theatre which located next to Singapore Science Centre..

Direct public buses:
66, 178, 198, 335

MRT Train:
Alight at Jurong East Station on the East West Line, and transfer to no. 335.

Walk:
Singapore Science Centre is just 8-minute walk from the Jurong East Bus Interchange/MRT Station.

2) Anyway theres also Singapore Discovery Centre which is located at 510 Upper Jurong Road

By Car/Taxi
A quick 30-minute drive from the city, the PIE and turn off at exit no. 40 or AYE exit no. 20.

By MRT & Bus
Take SBS Bus no. 193 or 182 from Boon Lay MRT Station.

3) We are having the IRs soon but that will be ready in 2010!

4) The Singapore flyer will be ready in Feb 2008. The biggest ferries wheel in the world. It will be higher that The Eye in London.

5) Go to Holland Village, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay. At Clarke Quay, we have the reverse bungy jump. Experience Little India on Sundays! Go to Chinatown, Geylang Serai, Kampong Glam.. Try the local food at these places.

6) Go to the places of worship : Sultan Mosque, Armenian Church, Sri Mariaman Temple, St Andrew's Cathedral etc..

7) Go to Suburban areas such as Tampines, Ang Mo Kio, Changi etc.. and see where the local stays in public housings. Some foreigners find it unique..

8) Go to the Beach : East Coast, Pasir Ris, Changi.. At changi beach, u can see aeroplanes flying right above ur head!

Answer :
Hmm ... there are so many types of attractions in Singapore.

Large categories are medical tourism, food, shopping, sightseeing, nature, nightlife and simply soaking in the Singapore culture.

Try places like Orchard Road, Little India, Chinatown. Or you prefer to go to Pulau Ubin for something rougher. The Night Safari is lovely and world-renowned, same for the Singapore Science Centre.

Lots of good places to club or chill like Clarke Quay and Boat Quay.

The Singapore Science Park is more a research centre for companies to conduct their R&D, rather than a tourist attraction. Maybe what you are looking at is the Singapore Science Centre instead? That is a tourist attraction.

Notwithstanding, Singapore Science Park is accessible by bus, or you can take a taxi from Buona Vista MRT Station.

Answer :
It really depends on your interest. Singapore Science Park is definitely an attraction and since you are there you might want to visit the Omni Theatre, where you can catch some nice documentaries. The nearest MRT is Jurong East MRT but you might need to walk 5-10 mins

Judging by the fact that you request information about Singapore Science Centre, you might be interested in Discovery Centre where there is a fine display of high-tech exhibits.

If you are a non-Singaporean, you might want to visit NEWater Centre where they show how NEWater is 'manufactured'. Have fun exploring the places!

Should i visit jurong bird park or the night safari in singapore. i have only one day.?

Should i visit jurong bird park or the night safari in singapore. i have only one day.?

Answer :
yeah you should. spend around 4-5 hours in jbp. and spend around 3-4 hours in ns.

Answer :
i suggest u visit the jurong bird park since u only have a day here. i just went to the night safari 3 wks ago & its quite boring actually...everything dark...even the evening shows are very crowded & its very small so it has limited seats...but if you really want to go both, i suggest u buy the day pass which is much cheaper...its one price for 3 places, i.e. jurong bird park, zoo & night safari..but u will be very tired at the end of the day...

Answer :
Visit both if you have the time.

0900 to 1200H: Visit the Bird Park in the morning and also enjoy the morning showtime. It not that hot in the morning.
Save the afternoon, after lunch, for your shopping pleasure
1900 to 2100H: Safari Park
After that pack up and off you go to the airport

Hope you have a good time here....

Answer :
do both, they're both good. The night safari is the only one like it in the world. I would recommend going to the zoo in the day & in the evening head across the road to the night safari

Answer :
Hi, do you have only one day stopover in Singapore or you only have one day to visit either one of these tourist spots?

Because if you have one day to visit these tourist spots you can visit the Jurong Bird Park in the day time and the Night Safari from 6pm onwards. Both places have their own unique attractions and the choice is pretty much up to your own preferences. Do you prefer bird-watching or animal-watching? Daytime weather or night?

Personally I prefer the daytime zoo rather than visit nocturnal animals at the Night Safari. It's pretty dark there at night with the dimmed lightings and all you can see will probably be the animals' eyes glowing in the dark or catch glimpses of them before they duck into the shadows. I'll rather catch a lion lazing around basking in the sun if you get what I mean.

Answer :
Yes you should visit both as the operating times do not clash and both are excellent attractions. But if you have to choose only one, then I suggest the Night Safari as it is the world's first wildlife park built for visits at night.

Answer :
I strongly recommend you to visit the Night Safari!

I've never had much love for Jurong Bird Park cos birds are birds and birds are birds. You only get to see BIRDS.

Whereas, at the Night Safari, you enter a different world altogether. You may meet animals you've seen in other zoos but the activity is different.

It also gives you a kind of thrill that normal zoos can't cos everything is in the dark. You get to ride a tramp and have safer herbivores trot alongside.

It's a wonderful experience and I myself had a splendid time there. I would always recommend it over Jurong Bird Park.

Answer :
You can visit jurong bird park in the afternoon and night safari at night. I would recommend u to go to the zoo because it has a lot more interesting jurong bird park. I did not mean that jurong bird park is boring, it is just an opinon, u can don't bother about it.

Answer :
Actually you can go this 2 places in just one day.. During day time or in the noon you can visit Jurong Bird Park..At night, you still can go Night Safari...If i was you, i would prefer going Mandai Zoo during the day..you can get to see more things.. eg.. polar Bear show.. Ah Meng Show..get to see more animals..cos during night time.. at Night Safari, you can only see deer, hippopotamus, tiger.. that all..

Anyone live in Singapore? I need to ask you all somethings...?

Do u all went to the Jurong Bird Park?
Please give me information about 10 birds...And it's must a good information

Answer :
Ive been to Jurong Birdpark. Its beautiful to see those colourful birds once in awhile.

At the entrance, you will see those Pink Flamingoes (#1) and some are standing with one leg raised up. Upon entering you will see those cuckatoos (#2) and macaws(#3). The macaws are fascinating to watch because of their vibrant colours. YOu will see native Australian birds inside their cages like the noisy kookaburra(#4), those big birds such as ostrich(#5) , ,greyish coloured emus(#6) and a turkey look-alike but with a plume , the cassowary(#7). Though these big birds are harmless, they sure can thwart you with their mighty kicks.
You can rest for awhile and watch the birdshow. It showcases bird tricks for macaws, cuckatoos and the big beaked Pelicans(#8). Pelicans were successful bred in the Birdpark.
After the birdshow, you will find yourself going towards a station loved by children. Its a glass room filled with penguins (#9). Theres a timing to watch these beloved creatures. And lastly, they have unique birds being featured for a period of time. I had come across a Snowy Owl(#10) The setting was made nocturnal since they are nocturnal by nature.
Thats all for now. Enjoy your trip to the Birdpark.

Answer :
i forgot the information about any birds but u may want to go to the Jurong Bird Park website that is www.birdpark.com.sg

How much is the entrance fee in Singapore's hot tourist spots?

I am from the Philippines and I'll be in Singapore by next month.
How much is the etrance fee for two persons (if there is a package for two) for the following hot spots:
Jurong Bird Park
Mandai Orchid Farm
Singapore Zoo
Night Safari
Sentosa Island
Underwater World
Cable Car Ride
Boating in Clark Quay
Please indicate so if I missed enumerating other places to go to Singapore with or without entrance fee and how much.
Please help so that I can budget things out.

Answer :
Jurong Bird Park
www.birdpark.com.sg/

Singapore Zoo
www.zoo.com.sg/

Night Safari
www.nightsafari.com.sg/

Sentosa Island
www.sentosa.com.sg

Underwater World
www.underwaterworld.com.sg

Cable Car Ride
www.sentosa.com.sg/events_promotions/i…

Check out the packages on these websites! Otherwise, it'll be quite expensive to visit all these places. Have fun!(:

Answer :
I think it may be easier to search for these places of interest cos most of them have a website with the info you are looking for. And yes, some places do have packages for two.
But I'd say on an average be prepared to pay around S$25-40 for entrance fees.
Going into Sentosa island itself is only a couple of bucks but if you wish to visit each place of interest located in Sentosa, it's not going to be cheap. But I believe there will be some package offered.
Do check out their websites. It will be more informative,

Secondary 2 Mathematics..?

Q1. The map of Jurong Bird Park has a scale of 1 : 3000.
(a) If the length from the entrance to Flamingo Gardens is 4.5cm on the map, calculate the actual distance, in km.
(b) The actual area of the Parrot Enclosure is 0.0225km^2.
Calculate the area on the map that represents the enclosure, giving your answer in square centimeters.

Q2. A nature reserve of area 225km^2 is represented on a map by an area of 36cm^2. Find the R.F. of the map. What will be the area of the nature reserve be on another map whose scale is 1cm to 5km.

Q3.On a map, a road 4.8km long measures 12cm. Find
(a) the scale used in the form of R.F.
(b) the actual area of a field which measures 28cm^2 on the map.
(c) the area, in cm^2, of the same field on a second map whose scale is 1:20000.

Thanks in advance..
Test came out and got this 3 wrong..we're suppose to do our own corrections. But I still don't get what my teacher is saying. So please help..
With ur steps,, try to explain why too.. thanks..

Answer :
Q1. The scale is 1:3000 means 1cm is 3000 cm ,i.e., 1cm is 30 m

a) 4.5 cm on map means (4.5 * 30) m actually, now 4.5 * 30 = 225 m = 0.225 km
Hence answer should be 0.225 km

b) 0.0225km^2 means it should be a square region with length 0.15 km ,i.e., 150m, so according to the scale the length of the enclosure on the map should be 5cm.
Hence the area on the map will be 25cm^2.

Q2. 225km^2 means a square with the length as 15km and 36cm^2 means a square with the length 6cm. Hence the scale is 6cm is 15km, so 1cm is 2.5km means 1:250000.
On another map 1cm is 5km, so 15km will be 3cm. Hence the area of the nature reserve on another map will be 9cm^2.

Q3. 4.8km is 12cm, hence scale is 1cm is 0.4km or 400 m
(a) 1cm is 400 m so 1:40000
(b) 1cm is 400 m, so 1cm^2 will be 160000m^2 or 0.16km^2
So 28cm^2 is 28 * 0.16 = 4.48 km^2.
(c) 1:20000 means 1 cm is 0.2 km so 1cm^2 is 0.04km^2.
hence on another map the area will be 4.48/0.04 = 112cm^2

What is better: Singapore Zoo, Night Safari or Jurong Bird Park??

For a family with 2 kids aged 12 nd 14.
Just out of curiousity if we had to pick one place out of those three, which one would it be??

Answer :
Well my dear... All these 3 places are definitely worth going :)

However you may wish to start with the Singapore Zoo. It would definitely be both an educational and enjoyable trip for your kids especially.

They will definitely appreciate the huge conservation efforts by the zoo in protecting and preserving the wildlife and the endangered species, eg, the polar bears, orang utan....

Try and go to the zoo in the morning (say about 9 am) where the animals are at their most active. Most of them would be asleep in the afternoon and sometimes it would be difficult to see them if they are sleeping in a hidden corner of their enclosure.

If you are taking public transportation, take the mrt to Ang Mo Kio station. Then take bus 135 from AMK hub. The bus will bring you directly to the zoo's entrance.

Enjoy your trip!

Answer :
I would definitely suggest you pick the zoo. It is a world renown zoo. Many people who have visited the zoo have given it rave reviews. With regards to the Night Safari, I personally say that there is nothing to see as it is all 'black' (meaning it's dark). As for the Jurong Bird Park, unless you are a true bird fan, it's all bird species only.

Answer :
well i promise you going to the night safari is not very good. i went there with my grandparents and the were literally over 2000 people lined up for these little car like things that take you around the park and you cannot see a thing and no flash on a camera is aloud so you cant get pictures. For us, we all hated it, but the singapore zoo, i suggest you go there because it has alot of animals.

(i was 13 at the time, now im 14)

Answer :
go to the Zoo.
Night Safari you can't see a thing. we enjoyed the tram but you have to wait a while since lots of people waiting to take the ride also.
bird park so so...

What Species of Parrot is This?

I took this photo at Jurong Bird Park of two small parrots feeding each other. Here's the photo: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/C…

What I assume to be the male is green with red on his face and chest(?). He has a blue cheek patch.
What I assume to be the female is green with yellow cheek patches and yellow chest.

Anyone know what species this is? Thanks for your help. :)

Answer :
It looks like a Rainbow Lorikeet.

Do the following French sentences make sense? If not, how should I improve them?

Answer :
Never use dans to say you in a country "en" with feminine countries.. "à" with cities.

Your using POUR incorrectly .
http://french.about.com/library/preposit…
http://french.about.com/library/preposit…

Why are you using the English word "FUN"

Il n'y a pas..... correct your negation

You cannot say à le parc -- au parc nor à le cinéma - au cinéma

Vouloir (to want) does not require a preposition when followed by a verb
veux vivre is the correct structure

All in all, you did rather well on your work..
there are a couple of other mistakes I did not address

Singapore - Jurong Bird Park, night safari And Zoo. HELP.?

Can all these three be visited in one day? If yes, could you give me rough itinerary for this.

If it's not possible, ehich should I leave? Travelling with 2 kids.

Any info on this would help.

Answer :
I have been to Singapore last Dec 2008. I visited both Jurong Bird Park & Night Safari. I feel that one can cover the Bird Park & Night Safari in 1 day as the Bird Park starts as early as 8.30 in the morning while Night Safari is only from 6 evening till midnight. Hence even if one covers Bird Park from morning till say maybe uptil lunch-time or 3, i feel 4 - 5 hours is sufficient to cover the entire bird park by one self. Then some rest and in the evening enjoy Night Safari. Be sure to have Dinner also over there.

Then next day Singapore Zoo with breakfast with the birds there. After the Zoo trip is over, go in the afternoon or in the evenings for the Flyer ride. Too good.

Hope this helps. Also do visit Sentosa Island. Plan for 1 full - day or if you can maybe even two days. It is very beautiful & very vast. I loved the place. Watch Songs of The Sea Show.

Answer :
If you were planning on just enriching each of these sites with your Godly legs and do some window-tourism then yes. Else if you wanted to really enjoy each of these attraction(once in a lifetime!!) I would recommend 2 days. Moreover, if u were to see all of them in one day i would be way too hectic!
With kids I don't think you would walk alone in the dark trails(adventurous) in the Night Safari. The main part of the Night Safari is a ride on a train, while seeing live animals in their habitats. It certainly should not be missed but it would certainly be last on my list. If i were you, i would give the Night Safari a miss. The Jurong Bird park shows are amazing! the Zoo is rather big and has quite a large variety of animals so children would like that! Moreover, if you were to do them all in one day the kids will become tired as both the Bird Park and Zoo require quite a bit of walking and the Night Safari starts after 10 i remember correctly.
If the kids prefer riding a train at night rather than walking a lot then you may cut one of the others but then you will not get the whole Singapore experience.

Answer :
Wif kids, i wud suggest for a trip to Mandai...& leave Jurong Bird Park out of your plans... Coz walking around the whole of Zoo itself is a very tiring and tedious journey..make sure you buy the tram ride tickets at the start of your journey. Coz it sure helps to rest your legs for the night experience at Night Safari while you can still enjoy the sceneries at the Zoo.

For Jurong Bird Park, you can go visit it another day and u can also make plannings to visit other places of interests thats located somewhere near to it.
A pond-fishing experience maybe at Lakeside Fishing Village?

Answer :
I live in Singapore. You will need around 4 hour in bird park to enjoy most of it, for some exhibit you might want to sit there and enjoy.Good time to go after 12.30pm. The All star bird show9 2.30pm?), Bird of Prey (3.30 or4pm)start in the afternoon.
Day zoo,4 hour, Show Feeding from 12pm or 1pm .

Night Safari start from 7pm, best time 8pm.to 11pm.

Purchase 3 in 1 park ticket for discount.

Answer :
Hi. Could you tell me the date u wish to travel to singapore, how many days are u going to be there, which hotel ur staying at-if u have made a booking already :)
I have a travel agency and I have also been to Singapore last September. It's undoubtedly a beautiful place and has very good sight seeing for kids.
If you have not already made your bookings - I can make a package for you which includes sight seeing. If you have already made the bookings, then too its fine. Let me know the exact no. of days u r in Singapore (also when u would be arriving there-morn, noon, night-as this would make a difference) and I could help n making the itinerary for you. Hope this is fine.
Cheers!

Answer :
Do you purposely omit THE UNDERWATER WORLD at sentosa island? You will surely regret if you miss this one.

I am pretty sure the kids would love to walk through the tunnel enjoying those fishes swim around them.

I suggest you drop the bird park as they can be found in the zoo as well.

One full day will be enough to visit all these places.

Answer :
Just plan your trip as follows:

First, Jurong Bird Park, Second, Zoo and Third Night safari. You can
make it in one day. No problem.

Any suggestions for an exciting experience in Singapore?

Apart from Sentosa, Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird park and the malls....what other exciting places and activities can i experience in singapore?

Answer :
You want something off the regular tourist haunts?

1. Going to Changi Prison may be interesting to some people...

Before you all think I am suggesting something illegal, there is a Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2009 which is an iconic run that offers participants an opportunity to run through the Changi Prison Complex while passing through historical sites such as the Johore Battery, Changi Chapel Museum and Old Changi Prison Wall.

http://www.yellowribbonprisonrun.sg/

2. How about going to the Turf Club at Kranji? Join racegoers for a day at the races.

http://www.turfclub.com.sg/

Answer :
You can visit the Newton Food Circus, Singapore's oldest Hawker Centre, and try out every major ethnic group's traditional food.
If you want food from other countries, try Cuppage Terrace and Holland Village.

You can also visit the Sultan Mosque. It's set among conserved buildings, so you get the feeling of the 'old Singapore'. If you wander around that area you will find the Sultan's palace, lots of quaint shops, a very old Muslim cemetery and some traditional Islamic schools.

Chinatown is worth a visit too. You can sight see the temples and look around at the authentic clan association buildings.

Little India, including Mustafa, is interesting too, and you're guaranteed to walk away with lots of souvenirs. They sell literally everything and at cheap prices. Aoid it on weekends, though, because it's too crowded.

If you're more into nature, you can visit Macritchie Reservoir or Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It's a primary forest full of wild monkeys and lizards. Great for a long walk.

You could also try one of the islands like Pulau Ubin or St John's. It's a day trip and you'll need to check up the ferry timings.

Hope I helped!

Answer :
Head down to Old Changi Hospital (no longer used as a hospital though...). It gets very exciting and happening on Thursday nights, and you can meet interesting characters there. So what are you waiting for?

Answer :

What should I take to go to jurong bird park from Singapore airport?

And how long would it take on a weekday afternoon?
How much time would I need to complete my visit in the bird park?

Answer :
From the airport, take the MRT to Boon Lay Station (EW27), then take SBS Transit bus 194 or 251. The bus journey takes about 15 minutes during off peak hours and bus frequency is between 13 and 17 minutes. You may request the bus captain to inform you when the bus reaches Bird Park.

The whole journey may take 60 to 90 minutes.

Take a cab and you may reach there in 45 minutes.

Answer :
As said above, the best way to reach there is through MRT + Bus. It will cost you less. Else you always have the option to take Taxi in case budget is not your concern.

Note: Please go early as it will take almost the entire day to see all the beautiful birds and some amazing shows. If you go early you will not miss any shows. So be there as early as possible to experience one of the finest bird park in the world.

How to get around Singapore to view the Jurong Bird Park and Night Safari etc?

Travelling to Singapore late Jan- I'm only there for 2-3 days. I want to view the Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, Little India and if possible Sentosa Island.

My question is, I'm staying in Singapore right in the city- how would I travel to the Bird Park and Night Safari (I want to do them in one day- so from Singapore- Bird Park-Night Safari and then back to the hotel)

can this be done (really cheap?) tour would be fine (again- cheap!)

Also, while I'm asking- recommend anything else to do/see/eat/or where to stay?

Answer :
Oh, looks like its so pack for your trip. For your trip I think Sentosa Island should be done a day trip and not as a half day trip. If u have 3 full days, then I suggest u to tour around Little India, Kg Glam area and Chinatown, as they are all nearby. But its your choice anyway.

As for your question, you can take the bus 194 from Jurong Bird Park to its Interchange. Then transfer the train to Jurong East Interchange. Transfer again to another line and alight at Choa Chu Kang Stn. After exiting the station, transfer to 927 that takes u directly to the Night Safari. For back to hotel, is your hotel located at Little India? You can take the taxi available at the Night Safari, as its pretty late when your exit the Night Safari. For Cheap wise, yes for the day part, no for the night part as everything in Singapore is expensive at night. Nothing in cheap in the night as they are paid more so more expensive.

For eat lots of food u can try. Local food at the food court and food centres are cheap, and also coffee shops. What to eat its definetely up to u but the Roti Prata and the Nasi Lemak are the cheapest on the kind. Chinese, Malay and Indian are cheap for a meal dish, like Chicken Rice for S$2.50 or 3. Nasi Lemak is like S$2 for many places. For where to stay, staying in Little India area is cheap, Bugis area is also cheap too. Cape Inn at Tiong Bahru Area and Summer Tavern in Clarke Quay are also cheap.

Answer :
OK, you plan to stay in Central Singapore, Jurong Bird Park is the West, Night Safari is in the North. Sounds scary? Well, the good news is, Singapore is a small island and you can travel between all 3 locations in 30 minutes in a taxi. It may cost you about S$20 per trip depending on surcharges.

If you want to spend less, take public transports; e.g. MRT and bus. Travel time may double to 1 hour or at most, 1.5 hours. Scary? Well, I would say you still have enough time to do both locations in 1 day easily.

Answer :
take the train! check with the website where is the location.
take train to the nearest station of bird park or so, and then take taxi will be cheaper!

you can go to vivo city at habourfront which near sentosa too.
or orchard road which has lots of shopping malls!
and you can also try chicken rice, wanton noodle and so.
and also, little india is kinda disorder, lots of people is jay walking. and there is some kind of not really nice smell.

Answer :
I have been to all 3 places recently (March 2009). Honestly speaking all these 3 places are amazing and requires one full day to watch and enjoy. I covered all 3 of them on 3 days.

Since you said you have only 2-3 days time, so it will be hectic for you. I would recommend you to go bird park early in the morning, and then go for the night safari in the evening. (There are various spectacular shows that does happen both in Bird Park and Night Safari. So if you go early, you can plan for the entire day and can choose the show timings as per your choice.) Try out the Fish Foot-Spa for $10 (around 5 mins) at Night Safari where you can put your legs or hand inside water, and small small fishes will start biting your dead skin. Its a very thrilling experience which you can cherish life time.

And the very next day go to Sentosa Island where you can spend your entire day out there as you will find plenty of things to see. Go early as you can plan out what to see else you will miss out some shows. At any cost DO NOT MISS THE SHOW CALLED "SONGS OF THE SEA". (you better watch it in the evening say from 5-6pm onwards as the show is done with lights, sounds and waters. During daytime, you will not enjoy as much you will in the evening. There are other shows also do not miss the one I mentioned above. Also you must watch the DOLPHIN SHOW.

As far as traveling is concerned, in case you know someone, then get hold of all the bus numbers (along with the bus stands from where you can catch bus) and you can travel easily from one place to other. Trust me all the buses are AC, with lesser crowd and very comfortable journey. You always have the option to travel by taxi at any point.

Let me know in case you need any other information.

Which is better place to visit Sunway Lagoon or A Famosa?

I am planning on going to Malaysia with my family in the first week of December. I am also visiting Genting highlands and the Jurong Bird park and The Night Safari at Singapore.

I want to know which place has more attractions sunway lagoon or A'famosa resort. Are there any other attractions there other than the water park? Is it necessary to stay at the A'Famosa resort inorder go to the water park?.

Answer :
Sunway Lagoon is more exciting but it will be very crowded during that period. A Famosa is more relaxing and serene and offers more greenery. Regardless, you'll get to enjoy yourself both in Sunway Lagoon and A Famosa. So you just decide based on your preference either a more vibrant and exciting Sunway Lagoon or a not much less exciting but more relaxing A Famosa. For attractions of both resorts, check out their official websites listed below.

http://www.sunwaylagoon.com/

http://www.afamosa.com/main.php

If time permits, you can actually visit both places. First visit A Famosa resort and when you have enough time then make a stop at Sunway Lagoon.

If i were you i would choose A Famosa over Sunway Lagoon because i dislike over crowded places. Whatever excitement i might have would be put off by crowds and long queue everywhere.

Answer :
To answer your question i would say that Sunway Lagoon is the best option. U can spend the whole dday there at the these park and then find a place to stay close by or go to Genting straight from there.

There is a theme park in Genting too.

Answer :
From Genting Highland street to Pulau Redang in Terengganu you will peace of your mind.

How to go to night safari, from jurong bird in Singapore? pls guide to go there by bus and MRT?

i'll visit Singa this Dec and stay in china town. I intend to visit Jurong bird park and night Safari in one day but don't know how to go. Pls guide me. Thanks

Answer :
Take MRT from Chinatown to Outram Park and change the train to Boon Lay. Transfer bus 194 or 251 at Boon Lay temp interchange. Take 194 instead if u are not sure since u are tourist.

As for Jurong Bird Park, take the bus 194 to the interchange than transfer mrt towards Pasir Ris and alight @ Jurong East Int. Transfer mrt towards Marina Bay & alight @ Choa Chu Kang Stn. Exit the station & walk towards the bus stop outside Lot 1 Shopping ctr by turning left after exiting the station. Take 927 that takes u directly to Night Safari and thats it.

From Night Safari, take the taxi back as its pretty late already. There are shuttle service available from Night Safari, ask the info counter for more details, its mostly to Orchard Rd area, so u may have to catch a taxi from there. If u take public transport, take the shuttle to Orchard Rd and catch 143 along the route to Chinatown. Or u can take 138 to Ang Mo Kio interchange and transfer to MRT towards Marina Bay & alight @ Dhoby Ghuat. Transfer to North-East line towards Harbor Front & alight @ Chinatown Station.

Answer :
Hi,
Check out this link - this bus company does have a bus service from bird park to nite safari (at 4.45 pm). It's called Singapore Attractions Express.

http://www.bushub.com.sg/additionalConte…

You can easily get to one of the bus pick up places (listed under Serangoon Road) from your hotel using the North East Line (underground train system). Travel from Chinatown station to Little India Station.
See : http://www.smrt.com.sg/trains/network_ma…

PS : welcome to Singapore in advance!

Answer :
Night Safari is available only in Singapore Zoo and not in Jurong bird park.

Singapore Zoo:
============
Here are the various options available by MRT:
- From Ang Mo Kio MRT (NS16), take bus service 138.
- From Choa Chu Kang MRT (BP1/NS4), take bus service 927.
- From Woodlands station (NS9) or Marsiling station (NS8), take bus service 926 (operates only on Sundays and Public Holidays).

Bus trips take approximately 30-40 minutes.

From China town (MRT) you need to go to Dhobby Ghat ... from there you need take MRT to Ang Mo Kio.

Note
------
Safari starts after 7.30pm; so see to that you are in zoo by 11.00 am or so ... have a nice trip of the zoo in day light ... take after 6 pm ... you can take a break ... have some good snacks at KFC (in Zoo campus) and visit night safari.

Jurong Bird Park
==============

from China town go to Outram park; there interchange to green line and move to Jurong east station ... from there ..take bus no : (sorry, I am not sure about the bus no) ... but there are two buses that ply to jurong bird park .... just enquire in the interchange.
